Tuning
power from Wolfsburg. KAMEI Golf X1.
Hot on the heels of their X1 prototype of the Golf V 2.0 TDI with 166 hp/122
kW (standard model 140 hp/103 kW) presented at the Essen Motor Show, Kamei have
now released their next level of upgrade in combination with attractive new
optics. The Wolfsburg VW tuning specialists have boosted the TDI engine potential
to 185 hp/134 kW and 440 Nm torque (or 320 Nm in the standard version).
Wild
Horses
This extra thrust of almost twenty additional horses is achieved by means of
a special stainless steel sport muffler combined with an optimised air intake
through special air filters.
The new X1 model wears the Caractère-Aerodynamic package of sport grille,
front skirt, side protection sills, rear skirt and roof spoiler. The aesthetically
sporty effect is rounded off with front and rear light guards, stainless steel
door grip styling and chromed mirror covers (autoXTRAS).
Innovation
The innovative as well as elegant KAMEI Type C wheel sets are available for
the Golf in up to 8.5J x 19. They come with a stainless steel cover and are
fitted with ContiSportContact2 tyres. A significant contributing factor to the
X1's good road performance is the Bilstein PSS-9 chassis featuring nine externally
adjustable muffler settings that make it ideal for both street use and semi-professional
racing.
Stopping
Power
Also available for the new Golf is the 4-piston KAMEI Monobloc brake system
with a 342-mm disc for optimum braking values.
